Our classes are taught in modules and spread over four weeknights. Total training is 16 hours, plus 2-hour live fire/range as required by law. In case of an emergency, should you not be able to attend a module, you will be able to make it up with a later class. Certificates will not be issued until required training is complete.

No. For the safety of our students and staff, firearms and live ammo are not permitted in the class. On the day of the live fire/range portion of our course, students are given instructions on how to bring in their own firearms and ammo. Firearms must be locked away and separated from ammo. Our experienced instructors will walk you through the steps required.

Individuals renewing their license in New York City or Westchester, Nassau, and Suffolk counties must complete the training.
